    The WatchGuard DV-1 in-car camera system records directly onto DVD-Video discs that play on regular DVD players. WatchGuard Video's system records up to 8 hours of high-quality digital video on a rewritable DVD disc that can be reused up to 1,000 times. Recording the video evidence directly to DVD-Video discs eliminates the need to transfer video data from the vehicle to a server, and then from the server to portable media. This allows the original evidence to be taken into court. Two configurations are available -- a compact one-piece overhead mounted console and a two-piece modular version. Both versions are small enough to eliminate trunk mounting.
